We all know how crucial soft skills are in everyday life. But how important are they for effective learning, especially in an online environment? What are the key soft skills that teachers need to have in order to organize the learning process in the best way and to cope with the challenges in education?
The S4B - Digital Soft Skills for Blended Learning partnership is working hard to be able to provide answers to these and other questions. Over the last year and a half we have been able to define the 12 most important soft skills for an educator and develop innovative, useful and attractive materials to improve them.
This week between 26 and 29 June 2023, 14 representatives of the partner organizations from Romania, Spain and Bulgaria came together in Sofia to test the products and learn how to apply them in their practice in the future.
The first days of the training were dedicated to a detailed presentation of the 12 soft skills and practice of each of them. Communication, active listening, creativity, empathy, motivation, stress management, teamwork, adaptability and much more…
During the sessions, we delved deep into the project results.
One of the highlights was exploring a series of engaging educational videos, each dedicated to one of the 12 most critical soft skills essential for teachers and trainers. These videos served as a valuable resource, providing insights and strategies for effective management of the digital learning process.
But that's not all!
Following the video sessions, our participants enthusiastically dove into hands-on "micro-tasks" associated with each soft skill. These activities are designed to inspire and empower our educators by cultivating consistent "micro-habits" that will enhance their soft skills over time.
